About Anna Maria College

Anna Maria College is a private, Catholic, co-educational institution founded in 1946 by the Sisters of Saint Anne. With an annual enrollment of 1,500 students, the College prides itself on providing a values-based, service-focused liberal arts education.
Anna Maria offers a variety of undergraduate majors, as well as many graduate and certificate programs, both on-ground and online.
  The small student-faculty ratio allows for a highly personalized learning experience, while the modest class and campus size allow for optimal student involvement.
 The College offers 13 Division III NCAA athletic programs for men and women. Anna Maria College’s campus is conveniently located just minutes away from Worcester, Massachusetts on 192 acres in Paxton.Anna Maria offers more than 30 undergraduate degree programs with popular majors including Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Education, Fire Science, Forensic Criminology, Nursing, Health Science, Music and Art Therapy, Social Work and Sport Management. A number of other academic programs are also available for both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, combined bachelor-master programs provide a fast track to receiving both one’s undergraduate and graduate degrees in just five years.
 Programs available include Public Administration, Health Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Counseling Psychology, Education and Business. A continually growing list of community service opportunities, internships, other practical experiences and study abroad opportunities continue to complement the student’s classroom experience. Anna Maria’s Honors Program continues to provide a rigorous intellectual challenge and an opportunity for scholarship, research, culture and community service for the College’s highly motivated scholastic achievers. Anna Maria College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., the Council on Social Work Education, the American Music Therapy Association and the National Association of Schools of Music and Anna Maria holds Nursing accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.Committed to educating the whole student, Anna Maria offers a robust athletic program and a lengthy list of student-run clubs and activities. AMCs NCAA Division III athletic program offers competition for men (baseball, basketball, cross-country, equestrian, football, Ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer) and women (basketball, cross-country, equestrian, ice hockey, field hockey, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball).Students enjoy a full social life both on campus and in the college-city atmosphere of nearby Worcester. Annual events enjoyed by all students include on-campus concerts, special events, dances, skating on the Colleges outdoor rink, alternative spring break service programs and a variety of organized community service opportunities.
